Valentine’s Gift Guide for Him

It’s Friday! And thank the heavens, it’s finally Friday. Something super exciting is happening for me tomorrow, but you won’t find out what that is for a couple of weeks… but it’s coming, I promise! For now, let’s talk about Valentine’s Day again. On Tuesday, I gave you my Valentine’s Gift Guide for Her, and today I’m bringing you my gift guide for him - and once again, doesn’t matter about the gender of you recipient, it’s for whoever you think would like these presents. It’s officially Valentine’s Day in a week as of today, so if you don’t already have something in mind for your guy, I really hope this list helps you out. Let’s start checking out the list!:

What To Get For…

A New Love: Like I mentioned in my last blog post, my Valentine’s Gift Guide for Her, when it’s your first Valentine’s Day with someone, you may not know them well enough yet to tell if they’re into music, photography, or whatever else, and you’d like to buy them a more generic, go-to gift. Some items that I’d suggest are: a new Belt (because you can never have enough basic, good belts if you ask me!), a new insulated Water Bottle to keep their drinks cold, a sturdy Card Holder in a style they like or a new Beanie to keep them warm during the cold month of February.

Your Longtime Love: If this is your second or third, or maybe even tenth Valentine’s Day together, you probably know your recipient on a more personal level, or at least I hope so! Depending on what their interests are, and if you’re wanting to spend a little more on them this year, some suggested gifts are: a new pair of Beats Over-Ear Headphones (which are especially great if they take public transit on a daily basis!), a Wireless Charger if they happen to have an iPhone, Airpods and an Apple Watch, a sturdy new Backpack if they like to bring lots with them or some new, good quality Rayban Sunglasses if they don’t already own some.

Your Best Friend: I said this before in my last post, and I’ll say it again - it’s sometimes nice to spoil your best friend! If you’re going to be gifting your friend something this Valentine’s Day, some great options include: a Casetify Phone Case if they’re someone who drops their phone a lot, a new Beanie to keep them warm or a Travel Wallet if they really enjoy travelling or have an upcoming mid-winter trip! (This may or may not be a hint about an upcoming blog post…)

Budget, Budget, Budget.

Cheapest Gifts on the List: Water Bottle ($22.12 CAD), Beanie ($24.31 CAD), Travel Bag ($30.00 CAD) & Card Holder ($30.22 CAD).

Most Expensive Gifts on the List: Rayban Sunglasses ($278.83 CAD), Beats Over-Ear Headphones ($399.95 CAD), Apple Watch Series 5 (starting at $529 CAD) & Fujifilm X-T20 with 18-55mm Lens ($1299.00 CAD).

Good Gift Pairings

1. Backpack + Travel Bag + Travel Wallet: These items together are a great combination gift for the guy in your life who loves to travel! My significant other is definitely someone who’s got the travel bug, but he also really likes to pack light - I’m talking a backpack, and that’s it - which I really can’t figure out how he does it, but he does! But for those who are super organized, and like for everything to have it’s place, the travel bag & wallet will really help them out with that, while the backpack provides you with a sturdy place to keep it all!

2. Apple Watch Series 5 + Nike Running Shoes + Water Bottle: If you’re shopping for Valentine’s Day for someone who’s into fitness, or really getting into fitness, these three gifts are so complimentary and will definitely be a big hit! The Apple Watch* is a great tool for people who love to work out, so if the guy you’re shopping for doesn’t already have one, and you can allow for this big purchase in your budget, I promise he will love it! If they love working out, the new running shoes and water bottle will also be a lovely addition to your big present.
* If your recipient is on Android, you may want to opt for another brand that supports Android instead. My suggestion is the Gen 5 Smartwatch - The Carlyle from Fossil.

3. Wireless Charger + Casetify Phone Case: This combination is great if you’re shopping for an Apple tech junkies this Valentine’s Day. I say specifically Apple since this charger is meant to charge an iPhone, Airpods and an Apple Watch, but there are definitely other chargers out there for any QI-certified phones or tech! That also being said, Casetify does offer cases for multiple Android devices, so you’re not left out there either. These cases are super high quality, protective for your phone, and some are even customizable. My favourite thing about Casetify is that if I really love a case from them, I can buy that same case again when I upgrade my phone!

4. Rayban Sunglasses + Belt: These items together are perfect for the guy in your life if he loves to accessorize. The Raybans are a great option to get for some good quality sunglasses, but I wouldn’t suggest buying a pair this expensive if who you’re shopping for loses or breaks sunglasses a lot (*cough* my boyfriend), but there are definitely more affordable pairs out there that look like Raybans if this is something you’d really like to purchase this Valentine’s Day for your recipient.

5. Beats Over-Ear Headphones + Casetify Phone Case: If you’re going to be shopping for someone who takes public transit a lot, I cannot recommend these two things together enough! The headphones are noise-cancelling which is great for when you’re on a bus, subway, streetcar or whatever, and like I mentioned above, Casetify cases are super protective, and we all know that sometimes public transit gets crowded, and stuff can get knocked out of your hands - this case will keep their phone safe, and protected!

That is all for this blog post today friends! If you haven’t already done your shopping for your Valentine this year, I’d suggest getting to that sooner than later - like I said at the beginning, the day is only one week away now! See you again next week, xo.
