What I Got For Christmas

Let me start off this post today by apologizing if it’s not my finest work. Given the fact that it’s only two days after Christmas, I had to work quickly on this one, so there may be the odd grammatical error, or spelling mistake here and there - so please forgive me in advance! Another thing I’d like to mention is of course this blog post is in no way meant for me to brag or show off what I was gifted this year. I just wanted to write a fun, more lighthearted post in keeping with the holiday spirit. And don’t worry, Tuesday’s post is going to be all about what I gifted this holiday season - which is really the most important part! In all honesty, I actually much prefer to give than receive. I can’t say I don’t like getting gifts, because let’s be real here - no one doesn’t like getting gifts! But anyways, enough of my banter with myself, and let’s get into what I was so lucky to receive this year for Christmas:

What I Got for Christmas:

Fraiche Kitchen x The Cross Decor & Design Heart Placemats: To start, earlier this year Jillian Harris and Tori Wesszer did a partnership with The Cross Decor & Design, Fraiche Kitchen, featuring some adorable kitchen items. The collection came out around the same time as their cookbook, Fraiche Food Full Hearts so you have great (and cute) kitchen items to compliment your cookbook. I was lucky enough to be gifted a set of four of the placemats from this collection.

Urban Outfitters: Amped Fleece Throw Blanket: I definitely saw this blanket from watching Aspyn Ovard religiously. I’m also wildly obsessed with everything soft and warm right now (I live in Canada, alright? It gets very cold), so of course I’m going to wrapped up in this blanket from now, until like… probably March or April.

Sonix Shelly Pearl iPhone XS Max Case: I definitely did not need another phone case, but this one was so cute, I couldn’t resist asking for this one (plus it was really affordable on Amazon). Who doesn’t love an adorable phone case?!

Sephora Gift Card: Bless my mom’s soul for this one, because she got me a Sephora gift card since she knows I’m getting extremely low on a ton of make up and skin care stuff that I absolutely need to order soon.

Second Cup Holiday Tea: Another awesome little gift my mom got me is my favourite tea from Second Cup. Their holiday blend features notes of strawberry, so if you like strawberry, I highly recommend getting some! I definitely will be getting into this tea before the end of the week.

HomeSense Gift Card: My cousin knows me so well. There really isn’t much more to say about this other than if you’ve read my blog before, you know how I feel about HomeSense, and how obsessed I am.

Koala Keychain & Festive Socks: My other cousin just moved back from Australia, and gifted an adorable Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil koala bear keychain that I absolutely love. He also got his sister, himself & I matching festive socks. Short back story, but our grandparents always gave us matching Christmas gifts (ex. matching pjs, stuffed animals, etc), so that was an awesome play on our childhood.

The Ten Spot Gift Card: I am super thrilled about this one but this is where I go to get my nails and spa things like waxing and facials done, so I’m definitely looking forward to putting this gift card towards my next gel mani! I go pretty often, and it’s not a cheap thing to do for yourself, but always makes me feel so good, so it’s always nice when you don’t have to spend nearly as much on it.

A Self Care Package: My boyfriend’s family gifted me the cutest little self care package full of things that I love including hot chocolate mix, an Angry Orchard Rosé Cider, my favourite gum, reading socks, nail polish, party mix & an Indigo gift card!

HomeSense Gift Card: Another HomeSense gift card! Seriously, everyone really knows me really, really well.

Stocking Stuffers: Since there’s quite a few things that go into a stocking, I’m just going to make everyone’s life a little easier, and list what was in mine!: Saje Natural Wellness Pocket Farmacy Community Edition, amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (Travel Size), amika The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray (Travel Size), Salt & Vinegar Chips, Laura Secord Assorted Chocolates, Socks, a Sleeping Mask, Tempt Cider & Smart Sweets Sweet Fish.

11. Money for Trip: And last, but of course not least - I got some money for an upcoming trip… You’ll have to stay tuned to find out where exactly that is. Hehe.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, holiday, whatever you celebrate! It was definitely another year of wonderful time spent with the people I love. I also have to give a shout out to my friend who got me a BABY YODA SHIRT! I do have more exchanges coming later this week, so this isn’t all of the gifts I have received, but I am feeling very blessed & grateful, that is for sure. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and check out my post on Tuesday for everything that I gifted this year! Plus, holy it’s New Years Eve on Tuesday! Xo.
