What I Bought to Wear in Europe

Surprise! If you don’t follow me on Instagram (which you totally should!), you probably missed the fun news that we’ve decided to take our honeymoon this year to Europe! Specifically — London, Paris & Amsterdam; and we both could not be more excited. Of course, me being me, I instantly started looking into European fashion, and started doing a little online shopping. That all being said, I don’t want to overpack and have no room to do some damage while in Europe as well!

When I was looking into what I could wear, I specifically started looking into Parisian fashion as I think that’s the place that will have the most opposite look to what we have in North America (aka, they’re just way more fashionable there in comparison to what I sport on a day-to-day basis!). As much as this blog is generalizing Europe, the inspiration was primarily Paris!

When I was doing a little research to get some inspiration of how I could dress while we’re in Europe to fit in a bit better, and look less like tourists, I turned to my trusty friend, Pinterest! Seriously, if you’re not already using Pinterest to get inspiration in all areas of your life, you’ve gotta start using it — it’s filled with so much good stuff, and I find myself there daily to get inspired.

Ultimately, I ended up finding a lot of neutrals (yay!), linen materials, dressy pants, well fitted denim and an overall look that is laid back, but dressed up. This is actually where I’m hoping to take my wardrobe in the near future, so I saw this as a great opportunity to grab some pieces that will be amazing for the trip, and afterwards. I’ve always loved European style over North American for this exact reason — they make everything look so effortless but put together! Here are some of the images that inspired me the most:

In addition to these pieces from H&M, I also found myself loving my Grae Cove pieces that I was gifted (read the blog post here) for the trip as well. The top and bottoms go together perfectly for a warm day in Europe, and instantly made me think of shopping around in a French market, picking up baguette and fresh produce 😍

I’m sure I’ll probably end up picking up more items here and there before our trip — for example, I still need to find a travel charging adapter, and good walking shoes! Which piece is your favourite from my current haul? I think my personal favourite is the crossover blouse, but I love that everything works together so well!
