Unboxing the Summer 2022 Jilly Box

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they blink and suddenly it’s time for another Jilly Box unboxing blog post? Though this one was delayed due to some supply chain problems (I’m looking at you, COVID), it has finally arrived, and I am so excited to dive into this unboxing with you! To start, I want to mention that from the start, I’ve guessed this was a garden/outdoor themed box, filled with things to help you enjoy the warmth of the summer months (hint: I think my guess was pretty bang on…), so with that in mind, let’s jump into it!

Let’s start with something I’m so excited to add to my kitchen, these gorgeous beeswax wraps! I already have a few in my collection, but they’re just plain beige coloured wraps, where these are going to add a pop of colour & pattern to my fridge — plus, this is going to help me differentiate each item. Anything that helps me reduce waste is a thumbs up in my books!

Now onto an item that I know will be in my purse, and generally just on me 24/7 is this squalane + rose vegan lip balm from Biossance. Admittedly, I’ve never tried anything from Biossance before, but it truly hits all the marks when it comes to what I’m looking for in a beauty product — vegan, cruelty-free, non-toxic. Plus, this brand works with one of my favourite humans ever, Jonathan Van Ness, so really, what more could I want?!

Next up is this matcha coconut blend from Blume. So many people love, love, love Blume, in fact, they had a product in the fall 2021 box that was incredible (they had an upper hand given my love for pumpkin everything), however, I’m not sure this product is personally for me as I’m not much of a matcha drinker. But that’s okay! You can’t love everything & I know someone in my life will love this blend.

Flower Snips

Camilia Living

Oh my GOSH, I am SO excited about this product because even though I do have flower snips in my gardening collection, they’re not nearly as cute as these flower snips from Camilia Living! If you’re new here, first of all — hey there, welcome! But secondly, I love neutrals & pinks so to have a pair of white flower snips is perfect for me.

Seeds & Plant Markers

West Coast Seeds

Piggy backing on the last product, I’m equally excited about this one! I was pretty shocked when I saw that there were seeds in this seasons box, simply because I didn’t think you could order/send seeds out of province (I have now learned that yes you can!), but I’m so thrilled to learn more about starting plants from seed, and I love that they included plant markers! This seed collection includes kale, carrot, thyme, sunflower, radish, basil, lavender & what I’m most excited to plant — ZINNIAS!

Thrive Plant Vitamins

Plant Vitamins

Next up, an item that I’ve had my eye on trying for a very long time, but never got around to actually ordering is the Thrive blend from Plant Vitamins. In early 2020, I got really into the houseplant & gardening thing, even though I’m a total plant-killer (though I’ve gotten much better!), and I so desperately wanted to try this product but just never ended up getting any. I’m so excited to give these a try, and give you an update!

This was another product that somewhat shocked me when I saw it in the box, but I know it’s one my fiancé will be quite excited about since he’s a lover of all fancy salts, and it’s the summer sea salt blend from Kanel. Though I can’t say this was even remotely a guess as to what’s in this box for me, I’m really excited to give it a try, especially on some sheet pan veggies!

Lemon Scarf

TenTree

Next up is this lemon scarf from TenTree, and when I saw this, I instantly thought “that’s going to be a cute accessory on my work bag!”. The scarf was a this-or-that product that we didn’t get a choice in selecting, but I’m so excited that I got a pink one since that’s more along my colour scheme! The best part about this product is that because TenTree plants 10 trees for every purchase, over 150,000 trees were planted! Isn’t that incredible?!

Strawberry Print

The Jilly Box

We’re getting there, I promise! The next item is the strawberry print designed exclusively for this seasons Jilly Box, and it is so gosh darn cute, I cannot wait to get a beautiful frame for it & hang it up somewhere. I’m thinking maybe in my kitchen!?

Tuti Baby Slides

Freedom Moses

Now, time for the sized item in the box - the Tuti Baby Slides from Freedom Moses! I think these are going to be the perfect slides to throw on when I head outside in the morning to water the garden, to take the dog out or even on walks in the hot afternoons. Plus, who wouldn’t love the pink & strawberry pattern that matches the box almost perfectly?! And the coolest part, they’re scented like milk & honey!

Scallop Planter

Hudson & Oak

Last one before the add-ons everyone! And the one product that I think I’m the most excited about — the scallop planter from Hudson & Oak! I actually have a couple of planters from Hudson & Oak after being introduced to the brand in the summer of 2019 for Jillian’s Etsy summer collaboration & I’ve been in love ever since. The thing that I love most about this planter is the fact that it’s got the adorable scalloped edge & it’s a gorgeous neutral beige.

Onto the add-ons! I’ve never met a Jillian Harris x Smash & Tess romper that I didn’t love, and this is no exception! In fact, it might be one of my new favourites in my collection. I love that I’ll be able to throw this on to wear around the house or in the garden. The material is lightweight, and soft, so it’s perfect for lounging indoors or out!

I genuinely promise you this was most definitely not a need, but strictly a want. If you know me, I have a collection of drinkware — I’ve always loved mugs, cups, tumblers; you name it, I’ve got it. But how could I pass up the perfect Jilly pink tumbler that will help me drink tons of water for about a week & then I’ll fall off the wagon again?!

WHAT A BOX! It’s hard to believe there’s probably only one more of these unboxing blogs to go before my wedding, especially since, like I mentioned above, I feel like I blink & they’re here, but we’re already closer than normal since this box was delayed. I cannot wait to see what this fall box has in store, since 2021 was seriously one of the best boxes they’ve put out, ever! Also — do you agree with me that I think it’s very garden themed?! Let me know in the comments below, and see you again in August/September for the fall 2022 unboxing!
