How to Make a Halloween Breakfast Charcuterie Board

With Thanksgiving only two days away, it’s officially time to start thinking about the transition from cozy, thankful fall vibes to all things spooky season! I know I already shared some of my favourite spooky season clothes, but now it’s time to talk about spooky season breakfast! Yep, before we even talk about Halloween decor, I’m going to start with the most important meal of the day that gets us fuelled to decorate for Halloween! Let me show you how to make a Halloween breakfast charcuterie board to enjoy this October.

01. Placing Your Bowls

After some trial and error, I’ve found the easiest way to start your breakfast charcuterie board is by placing any bowls that you want to include in your board. I personally start with the cutest set of small bowls that I got at HomeSense that spell out BOO to make sure that they are laid out in the way that I want them. Then I fill them with candy corn, fruit & chocolate chips, and place them on the board where I want them. Once those were in place, I move onto the next thing — the largest items that will be on the board!

02. Start Placing The Larger Food Items

The next item I find the easiest to place is the largest food that will be on the board, which in my case, are mini waffles in the shape of spider webs & pumpkins. Once I get them in place and how I want them, I move onto the next item which is ghostly bananas with chocolate chips for eyes & a mouth. Regardless of what your “large” food items are on the board, place all of those at this point, and then move onto the smaller things.

03. Place Your Smaller Items & Finishing Touches

The last thing I like to do is place my smaller items such as more berries, marshmallows, nuts, candy, mini donuts, etc. Fill any open spots on your board with the smaller items so that it looks full, and well put together. If you have any garnishes like powdered sugar, or even cinnamon sticks, this would be the time to place those as well! The key thing is to try and fill up the board as much as possible to make it look great.

There you have it! That’s how I make my breakfast charcuterie board for Halloween, and how you can make one too. Let me know if you end up making a Halloween breakfast charcuterie board by messaging me on Instagram or commenting below!

Until next time, Emily
