Christmas Gift Guide for Her

Well, we are well into November, and as far as I’m concerned, the holidays are in full swing now. As we inch closer and closer to December 25th, I know a lot of people are in the middle of their Christmas* present shopping, or maybe you haven’t even started yet (good luck to you at the malls!), but I often find there’s almost always those one or two people that you just never know what to get them. I kind of like to consider myself a kind of master of gifting - I actually had all of my Christmas shopping done this year by October 30th. Yes, you read that correctly - October 30th. So if you ask me, you’re in good hands for some gifting ideas with this gift guide for her**.

No matter who you’re shopping for this holiday season, there is a little something for everyone on this list:

Gift Guide for Her

1. Swell Bottle | 2. Wireless Charger | 3. PJ Top | 4. PJ Bottoms | 5. Scrunchie | 6. Bath Salts | 7. Mittens | 8. Socks | 9. Hat | 10. Perfume | 11. Burberry Sunglasses (Similar) | 12. Mug | 13. iPhone Charging Case | 14. Popsocket | 15. Staub Cast Iron Cocette | 16. Airpods Pro | 17. Candle | 18. Yeti Tumbler

Things To Drink From

These are some of my go-to Christmas presents because they are a great option for just about everyone. People are always looking good, well insulated mugs to bring with them on the go, and that’s where a Yeti Tumbler comes in handy. Not only does it keep your drinks hot, but also you’re eliminating a paper coffee cup from the landfill - double win!

For those who are just looking for a nice new Mug, or maybe you don’t really know what to get someone, this is where I suggest getting either a mug that represents their personality, or one that is seasonal. Whenever I get a new mug, I will wash it right away and use it to have either coffee or some yummy hot chocolate, so maybe even include some marshmallows, or hot chocolate mix with the mug to make it extra special!

Lastly, drinking water is super important, as well all know. But a lot of people don’t always drink enough water, and lots of people don’t like room temperature water, myself included. This is where a Swell Bottle comes in handy, and makes a great present. Speaking from personal experience, I got it as a Christmas gift a few years ago and I can promise it keeps your water perfectly cold for 24 hours! Swell bottles are definitely on the pricier side for a water bottle, but worth every penny as someone who tries to drink lots of water, daily.

Tech Goodies

This is one of my favourite kind of gifts to receive, probably because I’m kind of a tech junkie. Okay, if I’m being completely honest, I’m a total Apple junkie - don’t judge me! I don’t know about anyone else, but I often find my phone battery will definitely last for a day, but I’d always like a little extra power, especially if I’m going somewhere or doing something that requires me using my phone a lot. If you’re purchasing for someone with an iPhone X, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max, I highly recommend getting them a Charging Case. It definitely is more expensive than a Mophie case, however, it’s going to be much better for their phone’s battery life in long run (if you want a lengthy explanation as to why, leave a comment and I’ll be happy to explain!).

Another great option for someone that has a QI-compatible phone, is to get them a Wireless Charger! I just got one this past year for myself, and it just makes charging so much easier. I come home, and throw my phone on the charger rather than trying to fumble around and frequently drop my cable behind my bedside table (yes, this happened a lot to me). The great thing about wireless chargers, is you can find one in a variety of price ranges, so you can purchase whatever suits your budget.

If you’re looking to get someone in your life a nice gift, and you don’t mind investing some money on it, I’d highly recommend the very recently dropped new item from Apple - the Airpods Pro. I haven’t personally brought myself to spend the hefty price of $329 CND, but from all of the reviews I’ve read, they are quite the upgrade from the original Airpods.

Lastly, if you’re budget is on the smaller size, or you know someone who is constantly dropping their phone, a great little thing to gift is a Popsocket. They come in a variety of designs, giving you tons of choices to pick from, but be forewarned - if they have a wireless charger, make sure you get a Popsocket with a swappable top, as the originals are not wireless charging compatible. Plus, another great bonus about the swappable tops are that they can purchase other designs in the future and not have to attach it to another case entirely!

PJ’s & Cozy Socks

Another gift that you just absolutely cannot go wrong with is some cozy PJs! If you live in a warmer climate, you may want to opt for a shorts & tank top kind of PJ set, but for those who, like me, live in a frigid climate where in the coldest time of the year, it can reach temperatures of -40˚C with the wind chill, then I’d suggest getting them a long sleeved PJ Top with some cozy PJ Bottoms to help battle the super cold nights! Make it extra cozy for them by throwing in some warm & fuzzy Socks.

Relaxation Nation

Running a hot bath while having an amazing scented candle lit is one of my favourite things to do, but I often find I don’t make the time to do it. If you’re purchasing a gift for someone this year who really could use some relaxation and self-care time, one of the best scents of Bath Salts you can get someone is lavender. It promotes relaxation and helps you get a restful nights sleep, which, as someone who is almost always stressed, is something you really need when you’re energy is running high all the time.

To compliment your bath, getting an unscented candle for them to light to help with that relaxation is a bonus. If you’re looking for something more seasonal though, a great option is this Balsam & Cedar Scented Candle from Illume.

Investment Kitchen Items

If you know someone who is moving out soon, or maybe has moved out and you’d like to get them a gift that leans a little more on the expensive side, I’d suggest getting them an investment kitchen piece, like a Staub Cast Iron Cocette. One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older is that I love getting items that will last me a long time so I’m not spending ridiculous amounts of money on items that are either horrible, and I have to throw out more frequently, or very expensive items that make it that I barely have any of my paycheck left over (young adult problems, am I right?) Like last year, I got a new duvet for Christmas, and I think it was probably the gift I was most excited about, haha.

Perfume

Another great gift for someone who you don’t know what to buy for is perfume. Now of course, scent is a pretty personal thing, especially when it comes to perfumes, so I’d suggest that if you’re going to go for this gift, to either get them something that they’ve always worn and refilled, or one that they actually want. If you don’t know, this may be a gift that may not be a surprise for your recipient. However, if you want to go out on a limb and guess, one of my personal favourites is Walk on Air from Kate Spade New York.

Accessories

Living in a cold climate isn’t always wonderful, but I have to admit one of my favourite parts about living somewhere with a winter is wearing cozy winter accessories like hats & mittens. If your recipient lives in a cold climate too, I can promise you never have too many mittens or hats, especially because mittens always seem to go missing! Getting them a match Hat & Mittens will make a perfect gift if you’re not 100% sure what to get them.

Another thing I often find myself losing (or breaking…) is my sunglasses. I stopped losing them when I purchased a more expensive pair, but if the person you’re buying for loses glasses a lot too, you may not want to take that chance. However, if they don’t, and you want to get an investment piece for them, a pair of Designer Sunglasses would make a stellar gift.

If you know me in real life, you know my hair is always up in a bun. But of course, I want to keep my hair strong and healthy, and it’s well known that hair elastics really aren’t amazing for your hair. You’re going to laugh, but I started wearing scrunchies because I saw Jillian Harris wearing them, and I thought “oh wow these are really cute!”. One of my favourite brands to buy from is Chelsea King for a couple of reasons. Firstly - it’s a female founded & run company, and secondly, the scrunchies are made in Canada! If you’re looking to get someone a little gift, I highly recommend checking out her Scrunchies, available in a range of colours, fabrics and patterns.

PHEW! That was a lengthy list. I always feel like I never know what I’m going to write when I first start a blog, and then by the end I look at everything before posting it and I think to myself, “holy you actually wrote a lot, and this blog is LONG!” I hope this list has provided you some help with your gift shopping this holiday season, and don’t forget to share this with whoever is shopping for you if you liked anything (or everything - hehe) on it! Have a happy weekend, and see you Tuesday for my next Gift Guide!
